For some reason, I think historic and generally applicable, travelling fun fairs and circuses have blanket permission to put up posters on park railings and lamp posts.See:http://www.ealing.gov.uk/info/200508/street_care_and_cleaning/948/flypostingI went past Dean Gardens in West Ealing yesterday and was horrified by all the bright yellow fun fair posters adorning the railings. After so much money has been spent on making the Gardens more attractive, it seems ludicrous to allow this. I assume it is the same elsewhere. Why on earth do they need to put up so many to get their message across? Could I put in a plea to whoever is responsible among the Council officers to talk to the fair organisers and negotiate a more reasonable number - or just get stuck in there and take some of them down!
