TNT post cyclists

I think post office privatisation may be nearer than we realise. Just in the last 20 minutes I saw 3 seperate cyclists wearing a uniform and carrying clipboards, cycling around on identical bicycles with the logo "TNT post". They were looking at their clipboards and then around them. Looked like they were trying to become familiar with the area. This was near Waitrose and Gordon Road.

I remonstrated with one riding at 'full pelt' down the pavement this afternoon. Not a way to engender good relations from the 'man in orange'.

Fortunately they only cover a very limited area and only deal with business post. You can bet though that any bills will be accurately delivered :-)

I had to help one today in Northfield Avenue who didn't seem to have a clue about how to find the addresses he had to deliver to. I hope they learn quickly or a lot of mail is going to go astray.

Yes,TNT are starting deliveries of business post and bulk (i.e. junk mail and bills) mail over the next few weeks.I got a flyer through my door last week.Another nail in the RM coffin I'm afraid.
