Green bag for paper recycling

I,ve just found a green bag outside my door for paper recycling and on the label there is a picture of 3 different coloured bags for paper, glass and plastic.  I can only presume these are replacing the green bin and white sacks.  Fine in theory but they look like shopping bags and what about tins that used to go in the green bin.  I have animals and therefore quite a lot of tins, so what am I supposed to do with those - no rude answers please

No point in contacting GoGreen. They are simply a commercial supplier of recycling products and used to sell these sets of three bags througn Amazon and the like.As they are no longer available from Amazon perhaps someone knew of your enthusiasm for recycling and donated them to you.

Well I managed to speak to the Council, and yes there really are human beings working there.  They knew nothing about this and said they had no plans to change the recycling containers.  This green bag is brand new has my house number written on it and they are produced by a company called Go Green so where it came from and why I have no idea.  If I ever solve the mystery I'll let you know,but it appears it's nothing to do with the Council. If anyone else finds green, red or blue bags outside their door let us know.  Maybe I need to contact Go Green

Sometimes people who don't take carrier bags from shops use their own to separate their recycling - in which case they like to get them back with their green box.But who knows - I'm not sure if anyone does - what this contract is or whether it actually exists.Please be a bad dream.

Carol,You are making me feel anxious. What bags? When will we get them? Why can't they use the existing ones - surely it goes against all the principles of being green to change bags because the contractor changes? Or is it that they feel that they must have the Enterprise logo on the side of the bag - no matter how many trees die?

Could it possibly belong to a neighbour who had their paper separated in it.We are actually supposed to separate paper and card - not that you often see it done.  I put all flattened card into a cereal box and just flatten cardboard boxes - don't tear them up and pin them to the wall with the Food Waste bin.However I'm never quite sure where the distinction falls between card, cardboard and paper.  Some Councils refer to it by colour - but cereal packets are often brown inside and biscuit packets white....  I just make a decision!
