What are peoples views or experiences of the Lyric Hammersmith theatre?

Saw Mamma Mia there before it was famous. also a couple of really odd ones. also woman in black again before it was famous. so experimental that brings forth some real gems

The Lyric Hammersmith is a fantastic facility that offers theatre experiance to all sections of the community. In particular it reaches out to young people across all sections of society and works alongside them. Long may this sterling work continue. It has not grown away from its audience as sugested, it continues to bloom and branch out. Not toimpressed with the Bush Theatre so far no value for money their!

We used to go all the time in the early 80s but I can't remember the last time we went there, so I guess it lost its way somewhere along the line.Is there still a studio theatre as well?

I think it gets a council grant. It is run in a strange way in that it seems to have no strategy. It never puts on a Shakespeare play straight, it has to mess about with it. I think it underestimates our intelligence. I'd like to see a season by the Abbey theatre, Dublin. Some good pre and post West End works, and surely the GCSE play for the year should be on pre-exam. It needs a sure footed policy like The Bush Theatre! It has grown away from its audience.

We went there once upon a time years ago and the play (can't remember the name) opened with the 'F' word being repeated over and over again.Haven't been back since!
