Health and Social Care Bill passed

For many of us it is that ISA time of year. I am looking through my ethical investments and changing all those that have a private healthcare element. The Commons may have passed this legislation to look after their vested interests. This is the only way I know how to fight back before the next election. Such a sad day, so very very sad.

Well Cherie Blair has already jumped on the bandwagon, I read in the newspapers there is a report that she stands to make lots of lovely money from a new scheme where they will have health check facilities in some supermarkets!

We are going to have to be super-diligent that friends and family don't fall through the gaps - not that there weren't quite a few already.  Don't expect to be called up for anything, called back for anything, even if you were once before.Will we ever know how many points we have to have to get any care other than emergency?

I understand what you are saying. Parties change and policies change. In the immediate post war years Labour and Tory politicians were competing on the basis of who would build more council houses. During the debate that sealed the fate of the NHS as we know it I never spotted my MP. As for my original entry my friends in the city tell me that I am a fool and that I should be buying up private healthcare company shares. This way as a tax payer I regain some scutiny and control of how my money is spent and how much "profit" is made.

And no doubt Andy Burnham will get a job with one of them eventually!! That is why Labour can not provide effective oppoistion on the NHS because of it's own mania for privatisation!!

Dig deep Arthur and be diligent there are a myriad of investors in th eprivate healtcare sector.
