Ealing Club Blue plaque

Just passing through Ealing Broadway earier, and blue plaque had just been unveiled at the Ealing Club. http://www.ealing-club.com/ Whispering Bob being interviewed outside, and a lot of grey haired gents inside (yes I popped in for an overpriced beer). Stayed for a few numbers by Robert Hokum - good blues player, until Julian Bell showed up. Didn't spot any Stones or ooh. At least Ealings rich rock heritage is starting to be recognised.

We always called it The Nutmeg anyway. Didn't go a lot 9 late 70's) but when we did it was usually full off great music and interesting smoke..

I was there (today I mean not in 60s) and blogged it here:http://rupahuq.wordpress.com/2012/03/17/ealing-club-honoured-with-blue-blaque/In fact I think it was Ealing Today's lensman who took a pic of Charlie Watts and me. I found both CW and Tom Robinson true gents. Great to see the place get appropriate recognition for its place in musical history
