I also tend to go for UK manufacturers.Creavit are based in Turkey, founded in 1963, and are one of the country's largest manufacturing companies (I don't know how big you have to be to claim that). Their website talks of 12 years product warranties but the english is a little wooly (but then so is my Turkish! :-) )
