NHS Consultation or Insultation.

The "Shaping a healthier future for North West London" team will undertake a major public consultation on changes to local health service provision. One such change is to provide more specialist hospitals on fewer sites. Options involving 4 role-changing senarios have already been generated for Northwick Park, Ealing and Central Middlesex hospitals which are to be amalgamated. The public will be consulted in June. Well that looks fine and dandy on the face of it. However it has just been announced that Health Secretary Andrew Lansley has  given more than £20m for a new A&E department at Northwick Park. We can see which option he is backing. Where does that leave Ealing and Central Middlesex?It also leaves us punters asking, "Have the decisions already been made?" and "Is this a real consultation or merely another insultation*?" *Insultation.... a consultation that wastes our time and insults our intelligence because the decion has already been made

Many apologies. That £20 million had been bid for long before this reorganisation was proposed. It is a pity that someone's press office never explained this to us.

What i find equally hard is that seeing Andy Burnham on stage being against these cuts and he was privatising like mad. The depressing thing is that there is no alternative path being supported by any party.

It is all a joke.There are people falling through the gaps now with the cuts and it will get even worse.
