Re  would ask you to provide your sources    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx the ones that also make for interesting reading are found  among these items:-      The Muslim population has grown from 1.65 million to 2.87 million since 2001, say researchers. What does this mean for liberal Britain?       Telegraph leader: The Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life estimates that there are 2,869,000 Muslims in Britain, an increase of 74 per cent on its previous figure of 1,647,000, which was based on the 2001 census. No demographic statistics are reliable in an era of open borders, but such an expansion is unprecedented. The figure of 2.87 million was first published by Pew in a little-noticed press release last September, announcing a report on Muslim Networks and Movements in Western Europe. The Pew Centre, based in Washington DC, is one of the most respected demographic research bodies in the world; its methodology is scrupulous and its approach non-partisan. The new total for British Muslims means that, so far as this country as concerned, Pew's major 2009 report Mapping the Global Muslim Population is already spectacularly out of date. Here's a map showing the updated distribution of the Muslim population in Europe:        (That was as of 2009, so 3 years later the figure must be well over 3 million)    and :-          The Guardian, June 17, 2002, British Muslims series - A map of Muslim Britain  Muslim population 1.8 million (3% of total British population) The Muslim population of London 1 million (total 7.2 million);      ( so by the fact  from roughly the same stating dates 2001 and 2002, the number of Muslims has more or less doubled, logically those in London would be in the order of 2 million. From our own experience in Ealing for example, the number of veiled or scarfed  females 10 years ago was next to none whereas now, very prominent )      And let's not forget, the above relate to KNOWN persons and there are supposedly 1 million illegals in the UK, most of whom would gravitate to London  for various reasons and of whom a good proportion would be Muslim, so maybe in reality we are dealing with well over 2 million in London?

A man who has acted as spokesman for the current leadership, Azzam Tamimi, is on record as supporting suicide bombings. One of the mosque’s current directors, Mohammed Sawalha, is described by the BBC as a former senior figure in Hamas who “is said to have masterminded much of Hamas’s political and military strategy” from his post in London. In 2009 Mr Sawalha also signed the Istanbul Declaration which calls for attacks against the allies of Israel, which include the UK. The British Government interpreted it as calling for attacks on British troops. In 2010, the Labour MP Khalid Mahmood, a Muslim moderate, resigned from the mosque’s board of trustees and reported it to the Charity Commission, accusing the mosque of forging his signature on key legal documents.Mr Livingstone has been dogged by allegations of links to Islamic fundamentalism. In 2010, in the London borough of Tower Hamlets, he campaigned against his own party’s candidate to back a controversial independent politician, Lutfur Rahman, sacked by Labour for his links to a Muslim extremist group, the Islamic Forum of Europe (IFE).During his mayoralty, Mr Livingstone’s London Development Agency channelled hundreds of thousands of pounds to the East London Mosque in Tower Hamlets, controlled by the IFE, even though senior LDA managers strongly opposed the grant. In return, IFE activists campaigned strongly for him at the 2008 mayoral elections, boasting that they "got out the vote" for Mr Livingstone and achieving dramatic swings to him in their east London heartland.Mr Livingstone also gave thousands of pounds of public money to the Muslim Welfare House, a charity closely associated with the Finsbury Park Mosque, which signed an open letter backing his re-election campaign in 2008.    End of extracts.            xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx      So he is pandering to the Muslim inhabitants of London, between 1.6  and 2 million, enough to swing  the  overall vote  his way. NB, no mention of honour killings, women inferior to men, stoning to death , death for apostasy, husbands allowed to beat wives, death for homosexuals, and no doubt, equality for Sharia Courts and " justice ". I don't think London wants any more of this, thank you Ken. In fact, hopefully it may  rebound on him as it could put a lot of Muslims off voting for him, as the vote is secret and  the Muslims I know are more for Western ideals.
