Compostable bags for Food Waste Bin

I've always used newspaper - and still do.My neighbour said that the little shop where she bought these from was the one that was burned down in the riots and wondered did I know where she could get some more.I've looked in several local shops and not found any and I've given away my free ones from the Council. I am looking for bags with the European seedling logo and/or marked with the EN13432 standard.I can't find anything helpful on the LBE website.  (LB Hounslow's is far more informative.)I also want to send some in the post so a roll won't work because it won't go through the letterbox.  First though I have to find a local shop selling them!Perhaps we could encourage the Council to run a list of which shops sell them taking the example of LB Haringey?

If you live in a flat and have amenity space to keep the bigger bin outside then you could share it easily if you use bags.  No fighting over who washes out the bin!

Sunday Times supplements are great for this use. Perfect size and free once you have read them.

I've found them in the Londis at the junction of Church Road/St Mary's Road/South Ealing Road by the roundabout opposite the Conservative Club!!Only the thing is they are hidden behind the counter and not on the shelves so you have to ask.  Only found out by chance because the chap was standing by the binbags shelf when I was looking for them there (poor logical me).

i've always found Morrisons to be the cheapest place to buy these bags. About £2 a box.

Re. 'Tesco Naturally (small) Compostable Sacks'They are sold in packets of 25. £2.85.Tesco item #059903368.Tesco Hoover building currently have 50 in stock.  Tesco Osterley currently have 88 in stock.So I am told.

Have tried Tesco on the A40? I used to get them there, before switching to using newspaper. They used to sell them at £2.50 per roll.
