looking for keen local gardener

We have just to the area, were looking for a keen local gardener to sort out our tired looking front and rear garden. Anyone help !

I'm sure Mark knows the difference between commercial and domestic waste as he has a maintenance company...  if anyone does completely!  Commercial waste is not included in council tax and so there is a charge for it.There is no 'away' in 'throw away' any more. It will always be somebody else's backyard.Sometimes a Hippobag is a useful alternative to a skip or taking your waste to the recycling centre.But better than recycling is reuse so if anything can be reused and you can't sell or use it then offering it on a site like freecycle is a good idea.  There is a good one in Ealing.

i understand that as a resident you are allowed to take eight bags of rubbish to the dump from your premises without charge every single month so long as it is not in a van. this includes rubble stones green stuff old sheds etc.the acton recycling site takes pretty much everything except rubble and is by far the friendliest of the ealing sites. greenford takes everything but will sometimes try and charge you. see your local councillor if they try.

The only thing to add is that if they are clearing rubbish/rubble (I don't know how bad your garden is) etc do make sure that they have a Waste Carriers Licence as it it is you, along, with them who will be fined if they are stopped and it is proven that the waste came from your premises.This doesn't apply to normal garden detritus but would apply if, as example, they demolished a shed or were moving bulding rubble etc.

Put a small card in the window of your local Polish shop. You will find that you will get willing workers at about 1/3 the rate that the white van types who drive in from Bedfont and Windsor will charge. Keep it local, keep it fair!(Oh, to avoid the Political Correctness Police (PCP) that are part of life in Ealing and who you have already encountered remember to buy the work as "piecework", i.e. £80 for a one person one day eight hour garden clearance, rather than "by the hour" so that you are not "employing someone".P.S. I empathize with you encoutners with the Ealing Council PCP, and the next time that you see them point them in the direction of Conservative Councillor Phil Taylor who does run a business from home, or indeed Labour Councillor Leader Julian Bell who is employed for two days a week as a reasearcher for local Southall MP Viendra Sharma and does much of this work from home!Will.P.S. Welcome to Ealing (which ends at the Iron Bridge just before Southall on the Uxbridge Road).
