Don't provide a food source for them, don't put scraps out for them and don't put your bin out the night before collection.Also don't provide a home for them, they love deckingWhat they won't like is a chemical smell, so some cheap and nasty air freshener or furniture polish sprayed on things will deter them. Bleach smell they don't like either.A large dog will also chase them off and eventually they will look elsewhere for a place to hang around.This topic is discussed quite often here and usually ends up in as a class war/political divide. They may look cute, but they really are disgusting creatures.
