Anyone been to Tuk Cho yet?

I think that's the name of the new Asian 'street food' restaurant in EB that opened just before Xmas.

It sounds like So Asian in Acton which offered a selection of Asian cuisines. Unfortunately it only lasted about a year and then closed.

It's near the town hall. Possibly the place that used to be Edwards? Passed by it today and looked at the menu - a mish mash of East Asian styles: Japanese, Thai, Cambodian, maybe more. Although I'm keen to try Cambodian cuisine, I'm not sure I found this place very attractive....but maybe that's just because it's in Ealing Broadway.

Where is Tuk Cho? My favourite Asian restaurant was Royal Siam Orchid but that closed before Christmas. Ive since discovered Thai Nice which is very very good. Now I want to try street food!

Went for lunch there this week. Thought it was nicely done but the food, while decent, was not as good as Silom Village or Hare and Tortoise and more expensive.

Five of us went to TukCho this week and enjoyed the meal - service was good, waiters perhaps a tad too eager and swift to please. The fast street food at its near quickest! Amazed to see so many waiters, chefs and bar assistants! One of us is an aficianado of SEAsian grub - she gave the authenticity of the food 6 outa 10'ish. Pleasant ambience but a touch noisy. Would probably go again.

We also went to a tasting session. The food was also excellent and we had no problem with service. Wasn't a place to linger over a meal as food came out from the kitchen very quickly. Will be returning soon!

I went to one of the tasting sessions and it was brilliant.  Food and ambience are excellent.  The service was a shambles but that was to be expected on opening day.

It's already been namechecked by the esteemed Marina O'Loughlin in Metro. That's a good sign.
