What happened to the glass reindeers?

I always liked the glass reindeeers that would appear above the entrance to Ealing Broadway shopping centre every xmas.But not this year. Why? Did the Council sell them or maybe they were smashed? Anyone know?

Can't say I ever noticed them, but do notice the absence of the tree in the main square this year. The one tucked away in the tunnel leading to the Broadway bears no comparison.
