Is it general interest, or are you interested in going further?A few years ago the move towards school Parent-Governors, many with small to medium business experience, brought complaints that students knew about computers but not how to use Microsoft packages, so now the curriculum is aimed towards experience with Microsoft.I have spent a lot of time and effort trying to persuade Ealing Council to help establish a community based computer club where anyone can learn about setting up anything from a single computer to a network suitable for a small business, where help and information can be shared with less risk of ending up with a broken system that must be working by 0800 in the morning, and it is already 0245.
