Have they ever met to discuss our future?
The Health Authorities, the Met Police, Transport for London and Ealing's Planning Policy Team who wrote our recently submitted planning guidance for the next 15 years (the LDF)....have they ever met?Government Policy will force the merger of hospitals to become "Foundation Trusts". The outlines of this merger were discussed at an excellent LINk meeting last night. Was the fourth option the closure of Ealing Hospital? The other partners in the merger are Northwick Park and Central Middlesex. No one from TfL was there to promise to interconnect with regular bus services these three hospitals or indeed with the populations they were to serve. Ealier this week there were again rumours of the intended closure of Ealing Police Station. Do we need another riot to expose the good sense of keeping it?Meanwhile Ealing's Planning Policy Team have submitted its (not ours) Local Development Framework for government approval which insists 14000 new home be strictly built along tight communication corridors. No deviation , no debate. Clearly they had not talked "Geography" to the Health Authority. But hey they weren't at the LINk meeting either. Not talking leads to chaos. Is this the prelude to chaos? What do you think?
