Petition to save last free legal advice: Ealing Equality Council

Socialists are supposed to be driven by social justice.We have lost some time ago the CAB and now Law for All.Age Concern do some advice but their funding has taken a massive hit.ECIL I don't know yet.Generally absolutely correct that you cannot get advice from agencies outside the borough from where you live or sometimes work.If you stuck then try and find a solicitor using the Community Legal Service route http://legaladviserfinder.justice.gov.uk/AdviserSearch.doIt is shameful that in perhaps the third most populated Borough and with such high levels of poverty the Julian Bells of this world don't give a stuff.Their wished for savings savings of £85M we are told by the Tories are a con. No smoke without fire?

Not only are the nearest not in Ealing, if you go to the other ones they say they'll only serve the people in their borough. Law-for-all in Acton has closed.

No, the nearest are in Hounslow, Hayes and Chiswick.While I regret the passing of this service, it's focus on 'equality issues' gave it a very narrow appeal - at least to me. There are plenty of alternative services outwith Ealing for those seeking to address this type of issue.
