Lottery syndicate

A man called at my door in Lynton Ave  claiming he was setting up a lottery syndicate. I said I couldn't talk at the time and he offered for his colleague to call the next night.  Another man appeared. Both were very well spoken, looked official. I said no before he could ask me anything else. He was saying it would be £2 per week. Does anyone know if this is a scam?

There was something on here a while back about this. Apparently they are just trying to get people's bank details. I rang the police after he knocked last month and saw him later in the evening further down our road and told him I'd called them. He cleared off pretty sharpish.

Some of us think the lottery is a government scam on those who cannot do maths.

I had this as well, in Kingsley Ave.We said no.Seemed friendly etc, but I wasn't keen, personally!
