Keith, Maybe, but I'm afraid you have it wrong also. I consider myself to be almost 100% English, if there is such a thing. My Welsh ancestry was many generations ago and is not something I was brought up to feel deep about. I have never lived outside England, which may contribute to my naïvety, however I have found the immigrants and tourists to be better behaved than my average fellow countryman. England's history, in Ireland, India, lots of Africa, the Caribbean, Diego Garcia and many other places shows exactly that we are anything but a tolerant, charming lot of civilised gentlefolk. Walter's naïvety is a product of this, our appalling education system, a country which regularly emerges near the bottom amongst Westernised nations in UN surveys of quality of life, socio-economic equality, best places to raise children etc.
