Brentford v Huddersfield, Saturday 1st October 3pm
It's a scorchio day and the Bees are at home to Huddersfield which should prove an interesting game. Why not come on down to Griffin Park (E2, E8 and 65 buses from Ealing) for the afternoon and watch other people running about in the sun while you sit in the shade and watch them? £20 on the turnstile and the New Road side will be nice and cool. If you want to work on your tan, then head towards the Ealing Road terrace. The style of football Brentford now play....no, wait a minute. What I meant to say was that Brentford have a style of football now. Hoofball seems to have been banished unless it is a good short term tactic. We have some very skilful players (Myles Weston has developed beyond all imagination; Niall McGinn on loan from Celtic is great to watch; Dave is due back in midfield having recovered from a nasty injury; Richard Lee continues to be an outstanding goal keeper). Uwe Rosler has a clear idea of what he wants us to do and how to do it. Pub on each corner, lovely Smiffyburgers sold in The Griffin, Albany Fish and Chip shop open just around the corner. You cannot beat it, I tell ya.
