Haven Lane - thoughts please

Hello all,I posted a while ago re. my house hunt to move into Ealing.We are still on the hunt....but having been out-bid on a couple of a properties we loved, we are thinking that maybe we need to widen our search location a little bit, as there just doesnt seem to be many houses coming on the market at the moment (which is great in a way, as it may mean people are very happy living in Ealing and don;t want to move....but for us trying to get into the area, it makes life a little tricky!)Anyway, we have been focusing on the roads near/between Lammas and Walpole Park (Sunnyside, Cairn Ave etc.), as we really like the feel of the roads around there.However, we were thinking of looking at a couple of properties on Haven Lane as well.The thinking being, it is very close to the central line, which is great for getting into work, but it would just mean crossing the Broadway in order to enjoy the Ealing Green area that we first fell in love with.I just wondered if anyone knew of anyone who currently lives on Haven Lane, or has any knowledge of that spot at all in terms of noise, safety, parking etc. - and whether or not it would be a nice road to raise a family on, or whether it might be perhaps a bit TOO close to Ealing Broadway station?Sorry for the slightly random post, but this move is such a big decision for us, we dont want to make a mistake!thanks in advance for any thoughts.Kristina

Sorry, should have added that both pubs are highly rated for their food and beers. The Wheatsheaf can get a bit busy on match days (on the large screens) but both pubs attract an 'off the main track' drinker not the 'yoof swillers'.

Few planes, not much traffic and an easy walk to the centre of Ealing including Ealing Broadway. I've lived here less than 12 months but I think Haven Lane is great. As for "crossing the Broadway" to get to Ealing Green - just walk across Haven Green, down Spring Bridge Road to the pedestrian crossing and you're at the top of the High Street. Not exactly far!There are quite a few families living in Haven Lane - but judging by the speed that Sold notices appear, you'll have to be pretty quick off the mark if you want to buy! Higher up the road the gardens on the east side are larger. And the extra 2 minute walk down really won't make much difference to travelling time!
