RAW SEWAGE IN ELTHORNE PARK

There is raw sewage seeping out from the ground near the fenced area in Elthorne Park grounds (just next to the haystacks that the contractors have left in the park).  I have written to the Council to ask if they could either cordon this area off for the time being, or else they fix the problem once and for all.  I would urge everyone who uses Elthorne Park, especially the area at the back of Southdown Avenue to write to Ealing Council and complain about this situation.  Hopefully the more people that complain, the quicker this problem can be rectified, ONCE AND FOR ALL.Thanks

Well done. Do keep on top of them as Thames Water are notoriously slow unless 'pushed'.

I have just had a response from Ealing Council, who have informed Thames Water of the problem... I have been informed that the area has been fenced off, and Thames Water will be investigating the problem soon (hopefully).

Mary (if I may)It might also be worthwhile calling Thames Water  0845 9200 800  as the sewerage authority with responsibility for public sewers.I would call, but  you have knowledge of the precise location.
