Cancer Research UK- Ealing Local Committee

On Monday 15th August (tomorrow!) a group of people who are interested in forming a local group in Ealing to fundraise and raise awareness for Cancer Research UK will be meeting in Flavas bar at 7pm.Please email Lucie.Barney@cancer.org.uk or phone 07918 942877 for more information and if you are interested in joining us! Don't worry it will be a very informal meeting lasting an hour at the most to just discuss everyone's interests, and to provide some more information about Cancer Research UK.Alternatively if you can't make it tomorrow but are still interested in the group please do get in touch!

I would never give to a charity that advertises on TV asking people to give a pathetic £2 per month: this amounts to less than a cash bus fare to get into Ealing. Outrageous. How long do you think it would take to get a return on the investment?I would never give to a charity where only 80% of the money I might give will be spent on its direct work.This is exactly the proportion that Cancer Research spends on your donation.Cancer Chairities are the biggest supported group of charities in this country. You don't need to fundraise for Cancer Research UK. Most people will give to a charity where there is some kind of personal or emotional connection to, which explains why CRUK is so well supported.
