Flooding in South Ealing ?

I am about to purchase a property in South Ealing and the Flood Search shows that there is a high risk of groundwater flooding in that area. I am moving from Ravenscourt Park where we have suffered from this no less than 4 times in the last 6 years resulting in endless insurance claims totalling over £150,000 ! I cannot believe I have found a property that might be suffering from the same problem. Is it that bad ? Has there been flooding in South Ealing in recent years - I am especially interested in the area around Sutherland Road / Olive Road. Many thanks.

The Flood Search maps are worse than useless in many cases.My home postcode showed my home in the middle of a flood plain. The nearest water  course to me is the Grand Union Canal some 100meteres away and at least 15 metres lower than my home. If I get flooded, the rest of London is in deep "doo-doo".Two years negotiating with the Environment Agency and the flood boudary has been redrawn. No effect on my premiums of course. I would ask neighbours, but like the poster above I am not aware of any flooding in south Ealing and actually can't think of where the water would come from save for poorly maintained drains.

You mean Sunderland Road/Olive Road (behind Wickes)?I've lived ~ 100 metres from there for the last 15 years an never known a hint of flooding.
