NEW Star and Anchor Pub/Restaurant

Formerly known as Baroque and with a chequered history of opening and closing, this pace has just undergone a £300k re-furb and WEN Committee were invited along on Thursday for a pre-opening trial run!The money in terms of decor looks well spent and the garden area is simply stunning.  As far as the food goes we did have to wait some time for it and it wasn't quite perfect, but nevertheless very good.  The staff were very keen to hear our feedback and make the necessary changes. And there were charming too.I hope this place does well as there is definitely a gap in the area for this type of establishment.

I also eat there and I found the food fine.However the major significance of this place for me is that it's a pleasant pub atmosphere with no pool table or big screen football. Soon it will have another real ale to add to the Deuchers it already serves.A good addition to the area.It's open to the public as of Monday 14 March.

It's on the Uxbridge Road, towards Ealing Broadway before you reach the Castlebar Pub and the job centre (if you are coming from West Ealing)
