George and Peter,This reminds me of my youth when I was young and impressionable. I was working for a rich customer in Chelsea. Over the phone she gave the instructions ,"Sell in the States and buy in Japan." Now it seems it is "Sellthe Impact Theatre in Stirling Road and buy the YMCA in Bond Street." So when did our Council get into the property speculation business? Hey and did they ask us at Ward Forums or in their manifesto? Did we ever agree? See Eric's thread.

Peter it is a long document prepared for Ealing Council by outside consultants. The Report contains recommendations which Ealing presumably will consider as part of their options.How the Dept of Educations' cuts have impacted on what is in the report I don't know.MIPIM on the other hand may be looking to see just how many of these sites can be turned into social housing with affordable (intermediate0 housing which actually no longer is affordable because service charges are going through the roof. There is another consultants report on Ealing's website which suggests that take up of new office space in Ealing has unattractive prospects. As if we didn't know.Suggestions are that other boroughs are more attractive.I wonder what plans our Leader in charge of Regeneration has to combat that.

agreed it should be holiday. interesting how they would not allow local interest in taking over the albert dane centre.

Peter, Click on "Opportunity" and then access "council properties for disposal" bottom left.Hope that any council officers taking the six day bike ride jaunt to Cannes as portrayed will be deducting the time from their holiday allocation.
