Ealing LINk open meeting - NHS Changes

Jim,I hope I am still a member of LINk and the NHS. The Times 15 Jan 2010 tells me that Andrew Lansley was given £21,000from private Healthcare company Care UK and the Conservative Party was given £107,000 since 2006 by Mr and Mrs Nash (CEO and wife of Care UK). These figures make me really interested in both the subject concerned and the unmandated unseemly haste to fundamentally change the NHS when cash is short.

Yes Tony there are a number of sub group meetings with Ealing LINk, but there are two meetings i early March and they are:2nd Marc - Acute Services9th March - Commissioning & GP Sub GroupThough they are not closed meetings, but attendees needs to be Ealing LINk's member and also have an interest in the subject concer.I have seen some Ealing LINk's member taking too much on and get confused with the meetings. Which is not productive, useful or benefical to anyone.Please note Tony, I don't work for Ealing LINk, but do work for Ealing CVS and as part of my job I help local VCS groups to work together and support them in their activities and events.

Many Thanks Mr Jim Wong, for Reminding us of The NHS CHANGES that are being planned. It is an issue that is of the utmost importance to a great many of us right Now . Perhaps all of us at some time or the other.I have Highighted on my Calendar the 7th Of March 2011 this date when a  A Briefing on The Changes are to be presented . It is being presented for Public discussion by Jackie Chin and Stephen James . I will not be happy if I missed this Venue.The reminders help. The greater the numbers of NHS users at the Time of the discussion, the better the possibility of getting the Public reactions across.I expect Your Telephone will be buzzing with enquiries .Bset Wishes Sir.

Same here, Jim.  I would have gone but no notice whatsoever.  And starting a meeting at 5pm when most people are still at work is not too clever either.

So sorry. Not enough notice. I'll have to miss it. I watched the parliamentary debate on the tele last night.Oh and it was in the Conservative party manifesto on page 146. PTCs may not have been perfect but you don't have to be clever to understand that change costs....and we keep being told there is no money. How does that square up?
