Alex, Yes it is the Spinning Wheel in Northfield Avenue, The owner (Punch Taverns) has been trying to dispose of it for some time. Other planning applications from the site have indicated that a supermarket is interested. I assume they are trying to establish that they can get the permissions they want before they fully commit themselves. This latest application - for the late licence - is in Sainsbury's name. My understanding is that you can put in applications for sites that you do not actually own or hold a lease for on a speculative basis.
