Wooden Window Shutters + Victorian Front Door

I have started looking on the internet for these and there are so many companies selling this service! Any recommendations? It will be the full measuring, fitting etc I need.I have also started looking for a new Victorian front door with stained glass - any recommendations here?Cheers

There's a chap - Hardies - on Bedford Corner Chiswick (near TG tube) who sells reclaimed doors. He also has them fitted for you. He will use a reclaimed door and glaze it for use as a front door, for about a third the price of having one made. (I'm a cabinetmaker, but would have to charge quite a bit to make and fit a front door, horrible job).

We had 4 windows in a large bay done - tier on tier (upper and lower sashes) for about £1200 some time ago.  We also had three windows done in a smaller bay - Cafe style i.e. just the lower sashes covered for about £850.  Prices may have gone up since then, but probably not drastically.

I know it's cheeky of me to ask but were they hugely expensive Charles? -  I just have no idea on price.  I have a Victorian sash bay window in the living room and 2 sash windows in a bedroom to buy for.

http://www.americanshutters.co.uk/Home/American-Shutter---traditional.aspxSee if that link works.  The photo under American Shutter - traditional is similar to the ones we got, although the slats in the picture are probably 50mm and we got 35mm which I think is nicer.  Our shutters are taller as well because of the large sash windows.  They look great.

For doors, have a look at Todd Doors (112 - 116 Church Road, Northolt, Middlesex UB5 5AE T:0845 453 0250). It has a door called Ealing Rose that may look familiar... (www.todd-doors.co.uk/external-doors/external-hardwood/ealing-rose-5209.aspx). Or try the salvage place in Hanwell for a refurbished door.

We used American Shutters which have been fine.  However, they are under new management so don't know how good they are now.
