Plenty of time to pay
Over on the Acton W3 sister site, there is a story of two women having been taken to court over Housing Benefit and repayment ordered. All good headline stuff and no doubt some politician rather than any Council employee will declare how wonderful they have been in getting this to happen.But at the rate allowed for collection, one of them will not have finished servicing the debt until 2050, assuming they live to a ripe old ageI shudder to think how much administration cost will be involved in maintaining this arrangement.
