How do  you acess the forum pages?

Having heard from Jean and now another person re problems getting onto the forum I'm just checking (those that can access the pages obv!) - which route do you take to get into the forum?Have you encountered any/many problems? ThanksAnnemarieeditor

That should read Jean of course...  you won't believe it but I just got a 500 message too!I copied the message I had written, reloaded the page and pasted it (missing the J as you see) onto the new page - which worked.

ean,How about if you bookmark the Ealing Today home page http://www.ealingtoday.co.uk/ and access the forum via the left hand column. Do you still get the error message?I have found that refreshing the page can sometimes remove glitches.Please let us know if it gets any better.Annemarie

Jean don't tear your hair out. Just leave it all for a while maybe 24hrs and try again. It helps if you think of those young US nerds thinking up silly options and feel superior. Let me leave you with this true story. My friend's wife gets in to the happy home including one two year old and completes her day's work with the US in the evening. Leaves the keyboard for 2 secs and two year old  copies mum presses keys and turns screen through 180  degrees. Now what use is that to anyone? Work completed with aching left arm until husband uses internet community to rescue. Luckily right arms left OK for downing elixir

I am still having problems logging on to the forum and keep getting the 500 internal server error.This time I am trying to post my reply by doing the following:I clicked on to the EalingToday.co.uk home page at the top of the newsletter.I scrolled down the left had side until I clicked on to Community Forum, then clicked on Forum.After reading the topics I am now trying to send a reply in the usual manner.Wish me luck!By the way something has been going drastically wrong with every website I try to log on to. I keep having to put in my email address and password instead of just my password.Some days I just HATE computers and for all the Computer books I have I might as well not have bothered spending money on them! I never seem able to find the answer to my questions!My husband is the technical one but even he is getting so frustrated with recent problems!!!I am tearing my hair out here!

I use IE8 and usually get to the forum via a Favorites link to http://www.ealingtoday.co.uk/default.asp?section=community&app=forum/(I've just noticed that it's different from the link on the home page, and that the Forum link next to COMMUNITY at the top of this screen is yet another version!)I haven't had any 500 errors for many weeks, but when I did, it was usually possible to click Back and copy the text I had typed before trying again.

Have you tried 9 3/4 at Kings X? I sometimes use Nokia phone browser (mozilla)  and last night I hot a 500 error on a long post which I had to type out again. AND NOW AGAIN!!! Aaagh!

Home page, click on forum, using Google Chrome, no problems.
