Any good forums

I'm looking to expand my horizons a bit, does anyone know of any good community forums in Australia and/or New Zealand? I've been reading this morning about the extremes of weather that's occurring there and it's a little worrying, I'd like to find out how the locals feel about the situation.

Neil Chippendale is a regular poster on BrentfordTW8. He lives in Oz now but used to live in Brentford so try this thread on Brendfordtw8 as I am sure he will point you in the right direction. I have just spent 5 weeks on business in both Oz & NZ and the weather was indeed strange. Beautiful sunny weather in Perth but they said the week before I arrived it was raining buckets but that was the first rain in 3 months!!I heard also whilst in Wellington that last year they suffered 458 'earth tremors' but most residents hadn't felt any of them!

Thanks Linda, I'll look into that. Are Australians and New Zealanders worried about the climate? One minute I'm reading about the worst drought in a 1000 years and power shortages because of low water levels behind hydroelectric dams. The next minute there are flash floods.There seems to be weird weather all over the world at the moment or is it scaremongering?

I'm in Mandurah in Western Australia, and we had a tornado go through our neighbouring town last week. People here seem to enjoy the extreme weather conditions, as long as it leaves their roof intact! For some lively Aussie forums, google AUSTRALIA EXPAT FORUM. Anyway, I'm coming back to Ealing next week, and am looking forward to some culture ;-)

Yes, I can't remember the name either, David.I've found this one in my searches which looks interesting. http://www.planet-watch.org/forum/index.phpIt's only when you start looking around, that you appreciate how good the Acton, Chiswick, Brentford and Ealing forums are.

There'a a regular contributor from Aussie who used to live in Ealing. Trouble is, cant recall her name. Maybe if you rephrase your topic heading (any good forums in Oz/NZ?) she might reply.
