The School Streets is exposed as flawed by locations where there are real dangers.Little Ealing Lane is one.  Has been dangerous for generations. Does have a history of accidents and was mitigated most effectively by Lollipop Ladies and Gents for decades. and a Police officer if the regular was not available without fail.Plus all 4 schools at the time, Little Ealing, Mount Carmel/Lourdes Mount and St Anne's all had mandatory and continuous Road Safety teaching from First school infants and Cycling Proficiency for final year Juniors.  It was not unknown for head Teachers to castigate parents who were seen flouting road safety drill themselves.Yet the streets with NO record of incidents are in the Zone only.    Single track roads with speed humps and limited traffic, dozens not hundred or thousands.Kids are now dropped off as far away as Windemere Road and parents sit in cars waiting in the afternoon with engines running and blocking driveways several streets away.At Grange School, it's even worse with Parents dumping small kids on the opposite side of St Marys and South Ealing Road and not even escorting them to the school gates. There's no Lollipop lady or gent and they use the Pedestrian refuge crossing and not the Zebra further up the road.  Church Lane, Clovelly Coningsby and  St Georges road now have very large cars lurking now seems to be the norm. They used to clog up Church Gardens now they have moved and risk their children to a busy main road.Nothing has been achieved. And why is it that Councillors and School Management anonymous School Streets Team remain tight lipped about whether Road Safety and Kerb Drill and proper certificated Cycling Proficiency is mandatorily taught to all ages in these schools ?  Why the silence?
