Ben has been on the happy juice tonight by the sounds of it.People seem to enjoy cycling on plenty of roads that aren’t closed off. Although given the weather there’s a lot fewer cyclists about than he would like us to believe.

She probably did it because those roads were not designed for through-traffic. She was right. She probably also wanted to help people experience the joy of cycling through safer streets and improved air quality.

Many of you will remember Carolyn Brown, the formidable Chair of the Hanwell Residents Association, and her tireless work that she did for the community on the things she believed in most.In 2001, she vigorously campaigned for Half Acre and Station Road to be blocked off from the Uxbridge Road because of the residential roads were being used as a constant rat-run. Would anyone like to care to confirm if they were?Whilst having a cup of tea with her, Carolyn told me that she was fed up with constant traffic going past her front door - the last straw for her was when one of her beloved cats nearly got run over - that she used all her super powers to get the blockade put in.For all her diligent work she did for Hanwell I was always at a loss to understand Carolyn's position on hating LTN's, when she was the principal person to have had her road blocked off.

And what’s he minimum occupancy requirement for each vehicle?You bleat on and on but your only ‘solution’ is to stop all cars. Except you probably don’t insist all your visitors don’t drive. Peter, first of all, your name isn't Colin.Secondly, the LTN around hanwell railway station has got physical barriers, it's got bollards.>traffic congestive nuisanceThey reduce congestion. opening up all the streets will just mean more cars, more cars being driven in and out of side roads, and more congestion.The congestion on the main roads? Too many cars, most with just a driver in.

Paul, absolute twaddle as usual. LTN traffic volumes increased by 8-11% on boundary roads (council figures) and the only way thatn the polution number were kept artificially low was by removing/ reporting as defective the three key monitoring stations on Boston Road / Uxbridge Road.You know this Paul, it has been discussed at length for well over two years. You have either conveniently forgotten (sad when your short-term memory fails you) or, like certain parties, have simply chosen to fabricate your own version of the truth.

Simple facts all but a dumb ass can see.This is why they were removed in Ealing, the judge in this case ruled they are a simple cash cow.And the clincher I proved to you , during petrol strike, they cause congestion. When you can freely use roads, it’s far quicker

Here's a map of them all in Ealing, new ones and old ones.
