Spot The Common Denominator with Knife/Machete/Blade Crime.Until this is acknowledged and the root cause/s addressed, NOTHING much will be done to reduce, let alone stop it.Especially if the Politically Correct Lefty Liberal Wokes get their Idiot Oar in.

I can see for myself.I don't even visit areas like Tottenham, Croydon, Newham etc regularly but have done in the last year or so... really nice!I'm always around the West End, Square Mile and surrounds, Bush W12 and of course all around Ealing. If you do have your wits about you, especially on the tube, then you cannot fail to see crime going on every single minute of every hour of every day (no matter the time). You'll feel the aggression if you uses your senses; it's palpable.Never ceases to amaze me the amount of people who don't see what's going on under their nose. That may be blissful ignorance or people with this perception that all is well in the world and it's peace and love to all.Any salt n pepper on your sandwich Sir?

A lot of incidents that occur in Ealing do not reach the news.Whilst it was reported that an Asylum seeker living in a Hilton Hotel raped a woman in Hyde Park last year, there was no mention of the fact that the Hilton Hotel was here in Ealing.The supposed grenade situation here in Ealing which warranted armed police presence involved a person that had previously been sectioned and released onto the streets. The women in the park threatened with rape by three asylum seekers?It does not suit the narrative for these things to be publicized. It might put off the overseas students, the overseas investors/developers, the share price of PLC companies, or the aspirations of some Councillors who think they are still in with a chance of becoming MP's!

When Ealing council did its residents survey in 2024 the biggest area of concern by a long way was crime and safety. Some areas are worse than others but as Nigel points out there is open drug dealing happening all over the borough and shoplifting is a major problem. I think for many then it is the perception of safety which may or may not be supported by Mayor Khan's figures.I certainly feel less safe in the neighbourhood when I see open drug dealing and petty crime like shoplifting and pickpocketing every day. With drug dealers goes violence and I certainly would not wish to confront the pickpockets 'minders'.
