West Ealing Road Closures Chaos

Tomorrow 19/01/26 West Ealing’s roads are facing major problems.Temporary lights on the bridge outside West Ealing’s Station., causing delays.Access to Drayton Green Rd from The Avenue closed!!!(Although it does cease the cash cow entrapment to yellow box).Manor Rd closed due to the monstrosity tower block, no access to Argyle RdSchool zone closing roads.To access Uxbridge to & head towards Southall, using Longfield, Hirdon Rd will be closed on 19/01/26 for water workskhan/tfl/council, well done, you cause more congestion & pollution 😡😡😡

If there’s any doubt, London  has the dubious title of being most congested, slowest moving  city,for 3rd year running .Well done khan & cycling mafia, due to net zero infatuation.Another story, ltns disrupt bus lanes according to TfL ( reluctantly admitting).Obvious really & great for the economy 😂😂😂

Also seeing as you cherry pick answers.Roadworks, Argyle Rd, near Hanwell Town FC.Not a minutes work from clocking off yesterday, all day & night onwards.That will clog up the roads good & proper.

Loads people in cars and buses stuck near hanwell Broadway today, most vehicles just a car with just a driver in taking up an inordinate amount of road space.Lights are for the gas works and drivers are jumping the red lights and ending up blocking drivers coming the other way so they can't go on their green, and vice versa so grid lock. Drivers shouting at each other, what a way to carry on.

>Quite clearly is anti car & a hypocriteI've long been consistant here, I'm not anti car/motor vehicle, I'm anti too may cars and too much car use.If more people felt they could eschew a car trip there would be much more space on the roads for people that really NEED to be using a motor vehicle. Given 70 people in 60 cars take up an inoordinate amount of road space compared to say 70 people on a bus, or 70 people on bikes/walking it's in everybody's interest to reduce the amount of cars being used at any one time.How do you get more people feeling they can eschew a car trip? Safer feeling roads and streets, more cycling infrastructure etc...

As usual Paul’s myopia means he fails to spot the lorries, vans, buses, taxis and everything else that isn’t a private car on the roads.His cycling helmet must be massive to fit on that cranium stuffed with an oversized brain ;)Maybe if the road space wasn’t reduced to accommodate a minority of people who occasionally cycle then there would be more space for the rest of us. Dinner many bikes being used when it’s pissing down with rain. Funny that.

You’ve changed your tune, normally every comment by you is anti car.As you imply cycling is a good alternative, if - IF it suits an individual.However lots of us want & need cars ( including you).Restrictions & roadworks causing road closures, create more problems

With a crash closing uxbridge road too, the best way to move around if it is an option is by bike. The more people do, the fewer cars there will be on the already oversubscribed roads and the better it would be for all.

Either Thames Water or Cadent come every few weeks to dig the same bit of road up. Often they will be back within days, suggesting that the job wasn't done right in the first place.

State what are in?The roads are not to bad.It’s the fact they are closed for utility works at same time.Gordon Rd water works, West Ealing gas.Less roads open means higher volume in those open & available, obviously

I've lived in Ealing about the same time.  Do you recall seeing as many cars on the road as you do now?  That's why they're in the state they're in.

I've lived in Ealing for 40 odd years and I don't remember the roads being subject to major problems of this nature. As for the tower block in Manor Road it's awful!
