The new café in Gunnersbury Park

Pure finally opened this week on the site where the old café was burned down a few years ago. I went for morning coffee today.Nice airy space, pleasant staff. My cappuccino was £3.50, which is on the cheap side these days. They do breakfast at weekends and light lunches like croque monsieur, which I look forward to trying. They're also licensed and sell wine and cocktails.Not many there this morning. We don't want to lose them so it would be nice to spread the word.

Most of the customers getting takeaway coffee this morning seemed to be dog walkers. Only a handful of us were sitting in.I shall try the Croque Monsieur (£6.50) one lunchtime soon.

Don't know about the coffee cart. For Pure in the Park their core customer base will end up being dog walking groups who used to meet in all weathers at the old cafe. If they can encourage them to reform then they should do a steady trade.

Can’t recommend highly enough,Pear Tree Park bistro ( formerly Perivale Pk), much the same as Gunnersbury, but with the added bonus of hassle free ( in both senses) parking.

Walked thru yesterday and saw it was open.Does this mean the fella who had the coffee cart inbetween the house / museum has been dispatched and will no longer be there?
