Andrew Farmer - formerly of this parish

I'm given to understand that the Andrew Farmer who was killed at Charing Cross Hospital was the same person who used to participate in this forum until a few years ago. He did warn that his deteriorating health may limit his participation.If it is the same man I remember him being a person of robust views that I rarely agreed with but in discussion he always seems disappointed rather than angry when you didn't accept his argument so he came across as a gentleman. RIP.

Yes,  Andrew often disagreed with many of our comments. Always gentlemanly replies though. So sorry to hear about his sad demise in Hospital  at the hands of that homelessperson. Not even safe in Hospital now. Sad ,sad world we live in now .

A disturbing story. The perpetrator seems to have been a homeless man. Are we not to be safe from the mentally ill even in hospital?There was a nice tribute to him on Twitter from his partner of 60 years.

Indeed so Mark.It is doubly sad to hear of the manner of his passing. My sympathies to his family and loved ones.RIP.
