It was Immanuel Kant in the 18th century who postulated that the interests of the few should outweigh the interests of the many. Later Jeremy Bentham opined that actions are right if they are useful for the benefit of the many. Surely a modern society must balance both of these views. However many see illegal immigrants as invaders. What special privileges should be assigned to invaders?

Wasn't the judge who made the ruling that the hotel could continue to put up illegal migrants while they wait ages for the Home Office to decide their cases a member of a group of Labour supporters? Hardly democratic I'd suggest but in Two Tiers country this is becoming the norm.

There was a very interesting article by Matthew Syed in the Sunday Times earlier this month. He’s the son of a Pakistani immigrant and a Labour supporter, but the gist of his piece was that the levels of immigration into the UK now are hollowing out national identity and creating problems that will become irreversible.Syed argued that it’s not anti immigrant to be worried about the scale of immigration and acknowledged that many who come to the UK contribute positively to. He used the analogy of drinking water, that drinking a glass or two of water is healthy but drinking 100 glasses of water is life-threatening. What’s healthy in moderation is toxic at scale.Simply trying to accommodate the numbers now entering is creating the societal divisions being encouraged by the more extreme political elements.The solution he proposed is one that seems to have eluded all governments in recent years. Simply change the law to automatically deport anyone who enters the country illegally, and withdraw from the treaties now being abused by so many ‘asylum seekers’. The conversations with those in Calais waiting to cross the Channel bore out the effectiveness of this policy. None would spend £5,000 if they knew they would be sent back immediately.Brexit had a lot of downsides but self-determination on such policies might be one benefit that political leaders are somehow overlooking.

Ms Rowe, search YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc. There are numerous authentic videos of New Arrivals gleefully tearing up their documents (mostly passports) and tossing them into the sea.Be informed.We ARE being invaded.And our own Government (and previous) is colluding, aiding and abetting it.Only Socialists and/or Communists would support Comrade Starmer and his Politburo's "blueprint" for Britain.Which is actually Red.    😉

If people are genuine refugees,why do they destroy their documents? Doing that immediately creates a feeling of mistrust.I would say to them that if they do that they will never get leave to remain.

Riddle me this Batman:-How can you rock up in a dinghy and claim "Asylum", and the UK ACCEPTS that, when you're already coming from a safe country? (France.)In fact you've passed through several safe countries to get into your dinghy.Couldn't posibnly be because the UK is the biggest mugs and softest touch?Could it?  😉

I don't think we ever did know exactly who was here.  Whose bright idea was it to reduce the size of the state and reduce the numbers employed in the immigration service years ago.  You only hear so much about boats because other methods of arriving here have become more difficult.  Apparently only two-fifths of those who claimed asylum last year came by boat.

Some of that in part may be true. All of what Mr W stated is true.Yes we need immigration & ourccountry has been built on it, controlled immigration, that is.Now it’s out of control. Government figures are a lie.Arguments that processing should be speeded up is fine, however once they are done, how many more can we accept. What’s the limit, we are an island.Also what about the boats, most of them head off & are lost here somewhere.There needs to be changes, we have no clue who or what’s here. It’s sapping the economy, the NHS, hotel bills are at billions.There’s never been a proper approach to these problems, many in denial or others treading on eggshells, for fear of being labelled.Politicians, MPs, Governments just do not listen
