Such misplaced optimism betrays the extent to which some people are utterly gullible. The local councillors know nothing, which is why the whole scheme started in the first place and proceeded in such a piecemeal and catastrophic manner (‘a shambles’ indeed, Cllr Shaw.) But then having a total fool like Dismal in charge it was inevitably going to be a scheme where incompetence, distortion and outright lies would be to the fore.I doubt Dominik is as much of an expert on these things as he tries to make out. Does he not notice the state established grass is in this summer? Probably yes, but no clue as to why. There’s as much chance of any grass seed germinating in Lammas Park as there is of Paul James becoming Sadiq Khan’s chauffeur. The ground is bone dry. Any seed put down will sit there, eaten by birds, blown away by the wind and then washed off by the occasional heavy shower.Seeding will have to be done again in autumn, if conditions are right, although the heavily compacted soil on the park (caused by the machines used to bash down the large mounds of spoil left there) will make it more difficult to establish. So if Dom thinks the park will be accessible for anyone this side of Christmas then he’s as big a bozo as Dismal, Mason and the rest. Maybe he should put that in his hilarious ‘database’.
