Returning to the original post and responding accordingly...Residents are caught on the horns of a dilemma. We are encouraged to report crime and anti-social behaviour through the complex system on the Met Police website, which then leads to the allocation of more resources to combat crime and anti-social behaviour. However, by reporting more, the statistics make people feel less safe and have an impact on their well-being.For example, if everyone who saw a drug dealer in Ealing reported the crime, then there would be a significant spike in the statistics, resulting in more police presence in the area and action to stop the reports. As I've said before, if you see it, report it. It's the only way to get the issue addressed.
