The idea is not to give away too much information. The councillors will know more than they let on, particularly those cabinet members. Cllr Manro seemed to think the Waitrose decision is imminent, whereas Justine Sullivan from Stop the Towers (who actually contested the appeal) had been told a decision was months away.You probably noticed that information given to the public is tightly controlled and generally spun to show the council in a favourable light.

Thank you for the summary. I would only hope this is held on a weekend next time. I am at work during these hours on Thursday so could not attend. The ‘no news’ bit is somewhat surprising. Does it not just require these counselors to ask a question to whoever is in charge ?

Thanks to the organisers for facilitating the meetingMy key takeaways from the meeting wereWaitrose site - no news; however, updates are expected soon -no timescale given.Henry development - No news, but there is a possibility that the current builds may need to be demolished and a new planning application submitted.Lammas park - no update and  current issues not addressed - NB questions raised about listing othe 'lodges' in Lammas and Walpole parksGurnell developement ploughing on but not fully fundedCommunity safety ,both the response from the council and the police couldn't say what action that they were taking (they did mention some recent arrest in the area) but said that the community should report any incidents or crime, drugs or antisocial behavior to build a fuller picture - no guidance was given of how this should be done.I would be interested to know if others at the meeting had similar takeaways or feel that I've missed other key things

Agree about 90% - Mason has no moral compass and stands for nothing but his own advancement. But there are some councillors in it for the right reason, and if you are lucky to have one in your area, my god they need every ounce of support you can give them. Who are your local councillors?

Mason’s biggest weakness is his inability to hide his ambition and his bitterness at being overlooked for selection as a parliamentary candidate. If you think he believes in anything other than P Mason you are mistaken.The cabal running Ealing isn’t interested in engaging with residents, unless there’s an election on the way. Shifting blame is the standard response to challenge, followed by simply ignoring criticism.Luckily for them most people in Ealing don’t know what’s going on, much less care.

Some councillors appear to be in it for themselves (Manro) others never do much for anyone (Qansah). They're minor pieces in Peter Mason's chess game. Peter Mason's biggest weakness is Climate and Biodiversity, (think Warren Farm, Brent River Park, Cycle lanes).

Shital Manro doesn’t understand the planning process or the powers the council has to locally list historic buildings, which does give some protection. The list was last updated in 2014.Cllr Driscoll showed himself to be a misogynistic bigot but no surprise there. It took Cllr Quansah to deflect from that for him.
