Noticed today that it appears to have closed. Anyone got any info as to whether it may return?

Simon 😄👍.So if the A40 was blocked ( usually due to idiotic roadworks), I would do what I have told you 100 odd times.I would use an alternate route. A different road, shock horror. That’s how traffic flows freely.I suppose you expect me to turn around, abandon my journey, or load all my goods onto a bike & cycle???I could take your place, you shouldn’t be driving. You hate cars

Eastbound A40 traffic has lways been heavy but is currently adversely affected by lane closure boghe after the Hanger Lane underpass and at the juction with the West Cross route.If only the traffic was able to use the A4020 as an alternative but wait, multiple lanes closed because of a few whining cyclists resulting in empty cycle lanes because the poor loves don't like them. Pathetic, whining and anti-social.

You see Peter, Paul is changing the argument because he hadn’t hit anything to back himself with. It’s why he resorts to cartoons. Desperation.What he thinks is ‘too many cars on the A40’ is actually a mixture of vehicle types. It’s not packed solid 24/7, and is usually slowed by all the roadworks that go on along that route. The A4 had similar issues with roadworks but is better now. What out resident Homer Simpson doesn’t understand is that there’s a fundamental difference between a major arterial road and a football car park. D’oh!

OK Peter, I see you're not getting the football stadium illustration and what happens if everybody drove there.So when I cross the A40 at perivale there and the road is jammed with cars three lanes deep, how many more lanes do you want to add to the a40?

I suspect Paul hasn’t ever been to the GTech and is simply making things up to suit his narrative.I was there on Wednesday for the Everton game. 3,000 away fans, most who came on coaches from Liverpool.The 14,000 or so Brentford fans all disperse on foot from the ground, which is pretty much normal for most PL stadia. A lot like to have a few beers before and after the game so won’t drive. Plenty come by train to Kew Bridge right next to the ground. A lot live locally and the ones who drive park in the roads north of the A4, as they always have done.There’s no need for a big car park by the ground. Some do have them. Southampton do, as do the ones thet are further out of town centres such as Reading.Seems Paul’s favourite cartoon character is really Mickey Mouse!

You’re fixated with stupid Brentford.Yes I could drive near, but it’s unnecessary.As I stated 17000 won’t drive & this is about a restaurant, not football.Facts still the same. People want & need to drive but are constantly thwarted.Have you given up your license yet?

There may well be a crowd of 17,000.Doesn’t mean 17,000 individual cars. Sone will have multiple occupancy, others use public transport (joke in itself). Others walk or cycle.Fact is there’s a choice, NOT forced to walk or cycle.Tear up your license & that will help , rather than the hypocrisy..Applies to shops, not everyone will drive, but some want & need to.At Brentford, TfL in their wisdom will close roads to completely balls up traffic

>Cars take up space, so therefore allow room for them, places to park.Ok Peter, let's make sure there are circa 17,000 parking spaces for a game at Brentord on a Saturday so everybody can drive there if they want to.You see you don't seem to comprhend the consequences of what you're asking for Aside from the pollution fossil fuel burning, safety issues etc... I'm sure you'll understand that to cater for that amount of vehicles you'd need to tarmac over Gunnersbury park to make a car park out of it.My Simpsons reference is real  you see, Homer simply can't see it, he and his family (except Lisa maybe) think it's totally normal to have to drive to a huge car park then across it almost back to his house to get to work and then have to walk back to work from his house.

Don’t watch the Simpsons.Cars take up space, so therefore allow room for them, places to park. That is why shops close because people can’t drive & park anywhere.People want & need cars, no one drives for fun

Sorry for starting this clown up folks. My original ask was to see if anyone had a take on what's happened to the restaurant. I tried it last year shortly after it opened (took a train from work to Park Royal station Mr James) and found it OK. Better than the Greek in Bond Street (Tony's)and, given the closure of the Greek opposite the fire station in west Ealing, was hoping we had a choice again of this particular cuisine.

Yes it’s called freedom of movement.The ability of getting from A to B unimpeded.Being able to park near your chosen venue, for whatever reason.Not dictated to by overpowering fools, such as the 20 minute cities they are trying to sneak in.Dangerous big brother tactics . Unwanted by majority

I remember claims being made on this forum and elsewhere that cyclists spend more money locally than anyone else. Where are all these wealthy MAMILS now, when our local economy needs them?Or were those claims as false as traffic evaporation and all the other LCC/Aldred bunkum?

Ironically people drive to out of town places with car parks twice the size of the store...West ealing broadway has lots of "illegal" parking along the street causing all manner of chaos, but it's still only about 30 cars, that's 35 people maybe... One bus can carry 70...A lot of peope were moaning about there being no parking at the new lidol, yet, they other day the store was packed with people, where did they come from?If it's a model you want Peter (lots and lots of parking next to shops), you can't complain about local shops shutting down.

I don't get this,  businesses, especially restaurants come and go all the time for a myriad of reasons.Is there a set of people out there that can't handle this? Genuine question!

That's an odd parade  where nothing stays long. Too small a catchment area ie only the Haymills people? Likewise Lailly's by Uni Of W London, seems barely a year since it was refurbished.Next to go will be the Indian takeaway by South Ealing station.
