What happens to the Post Office counter if the store chain gets sold off?

The spokesman was quoted as saying that they would commit to retaining the Post Office business within any sale.

Good question, though presumably many WH Smith stores will become retail units operated by other businesses. There are a lot of Post Office counters in non-Smiths shops, though some had problems, such as the one on South Ealing Road that was eventually closed down a couple of years ago.Maybe Paula Vennels could come aboard to advise.
