Contract

I pay my Council Tax. That's my side of the contract. Councillors should represent me; at least by arranging ward forums or some form of communication or a street stall or a surgery or something even a reply to an email. Our last Ward Forum was four and a half year's ago.If nothing then do I stop paying Council Tax?This is only part of the problem. If councillors don't engage with ward residents then proper consultation can't begin as it should do  "at the formative stage".Is it that power is concentrated in few hands and councillors have been instructed to keep quiet and put up their hands only when instructed?Advice and help please

Oh Mr Hayes, you are Bang ON.As usual.And people are actually surprised at the lack of, errrrr, "engagement" by our lovely Labour Council?!!!  🤣There are VERY few Labour Councillors who actually "do the job", Dan Crawford / North Acton is one.Funnily enough, the Conservative Councillors invariably do the job, including work for residents sometimes not even in their own wards!LibDems seem to be a mixed bag of half Labour Attitude and Half Conservative Attitude?

Arthur, you make a valid point as always.Unfortunately we are governed by a cabal of small-minded and self-serving hypocrites. It's long been the case in Ealing that the Labour council is good at preaching but very poor at delivering. Nationally, many people are now discovering that the same principles apply to Keir Starmer's government.

Can’t advise you, however totally agree a lot of people are frustrated by the silence & ignorance at no reply, to those supposedly in a position to help
