Thank You Linda for your reply, however the Jacqueline Wiseman I had a (one) date with, which was to see Lawrence of Arabia at the Northfields Forum Cinema one damp drizzley Friday Night, had only an older sister. The Wiseman's lived on the south side of Oaklands Road a couple of houses east of the corner with Cumberland Road. The Grosvenor Pub would be north east of her home. I know your right about the Pub names, now I think it was the Halfway House. It was set back from the street (Uxbridge Road). I have never been inside, at the time it was said to be the Wilkinsons local and they had a reputation for brawling - true or false I really would not know. But it did have the closest Off Licence to where I lived at No.9. Regards the Wilkinsons I do know they worked hard, the guys having to get up very early say around 4am to go to Covent Garden Market to get produce for the Stalls, then get home pull the Carts/Stalls to there allocated site and set them up with the produce. Admittedly it was a family affair and the wife and children would help out and in all weather, rain or shine, hot or cold etc. But once again may I say thank you, Linda.
