My pack of JEMY Polish Soup contained a dead mouse!

May the Community please be warned that the JEMÝ brand of Polish Soups,currently for sale of many Polski establishments, should be removed from shelves.Once you have consumed the contents of these packs ...via the plastic cap on top ... and then break the pack for recycling ...you.may be in for a surprise.I discovered a dead tiny mouse at the bottom of my pack, together with some other debris.Full story on the Forum of chiswickw4.comThe Polish Factory has a problemand this incident will be bad news for them.

Ha ha ...that's a good one Colin.After the trauma of having three portions of this contaminated soup,and seemingly having recovered ...I now see the comic side of the incidentand the jokey comments are flowing.Several days after my visit to the Emergency Dept at West Middlesex  Hospital ...where I had had various blood tests and body checks ...they thoughtfully phoned me up to check that I was still ok.I jokingly replied "sqeak sqeak"!I'm now in touch with the Polish Company and Hammersmith Food Standards Department ... but I really need a mice lawyer to pursuethe matter!

The matter is about to be investigated by Hammersmith Council's Environmental Department (Food and Safety Team).In the meantime I suggest you always check those ubiquitous packs before you consume the contents.Perhaps pour those contents into a clear jug first and inspect what's lurking at the bottom of the pack.I wish I could alert the local Polish Community and tell them a out this Jemy Polish soup.

Thank you for that Nigel.My current plan is to contact more agencies in the UK first.The shop involved : Dill & Co,163 King Street,Hammersmith,W6 have taken a photo of the pack and it's remaining dreadful contentsand emailed Poland.JEMY "BARSZCZ CZERWONY clear soup.

There is no batch number on this Pack of JEMY Barszcz Czerwony Soupbut there is a date and time of Manufacture.I have also retain the broken pack,the dead little mouse and the other iffy debris.

Have you contacted the manfacturer? The package must have a batch number on it which it will ask you for.
