This isn't surprising. Tesco's will not want to commit to a tenancy for something which is a year away, way too risky for Tesco, too much exposure and I wouldn't sign anything now if I were them,They have probably sent a letter of intent saying something like "If the economy doesnt tank, we dont go bankrupt and the world stays the same as today, then yeah we love to rent out the shop again.. pending contracts, negotiating the rent etc"Thats what I would do anyway. In reality the likelyhood is that it WILL reopen as a supermarket (tesco or other)
