Another chicken restaurant

Currently being fitted out at the top of Bond Street where the building society used to be. Given there's one on the opposite side of the road about 50 yards down as well as the one by M&S, do we really need another? Ealing Broadway is currently looking very tatty with no sign the clowns at Perceval House are looking to upgrade it. As Its the centre of some really rundown parts of the borough, it's not a great advertisement for the ex Queen of the Suburbs. Fortunately the Socialist numpties haven't started knocking down any more parts of the town centre to provide more offices, shops and ''affordable '' accommodation especially with Dickins Yard looking like a real white elephant. What a legacy they will leave us all.

I find that there is too much fried food and double carbohydrate and not enough nicely cooked vegetables.  The portions for meals like roasts now seem to have increased to American portions and I am fed up with taking a box with me to put the leftovers in or asking for one and then having to make something with those leftovers.  I asked why they have got larger in one pub and was told that Chef liked to make sure that the customers had a good meal.  A good enough sentiment and that may ensure that customers are happy but also that they get bigger and bigger...  which many definitely do not need to do!  I'd like to feel I can still run for a bus and not just want to collapse on the sofa afterwards.

I’m a virtual non meat eater- the very very occasional chicken wrap that’s it. I do find the eating set up in Ealing somewhat limited compared with neighbouring boroughs. We go to Cote but even that can become limited after a while.

Thats simply because there is not enough demand and redness to spend. Plus vegetarian or vegan? Plus the great nmany allergies that are with vegetarian ingredients ( I have a few that I've been stuck with all my life. I like meatless meals but in a vegan or vegetarian restaurant 80% of the menus are out for me. No mushrooms of fungi, nuts or some pulses. Easy to do at home but risky with specific eateries.It's so complex that the few really good Veggie restaurants and there were quite a few in west and south West London have all but vanished and the fast food chains are severely restrictive in their fare due to allergen issues and genuine fresh ingredient supplies.But Ealing is as dull as dishwater for the narrow raft of endless coffee shops, receptive food outlets and so many not really up to much and very narrow in who they want as clientele. Too many are far from welcoming and one wonders how long they will last.

I think perhaps a vegetarian one would be good as we have to rely on cuisine from everywhere else in the world except Britain for much choice of that nowadays.
