Golden Dragon take away

Sad news in that the best Chinese take away for miles has now gone. Shop in Pitshanger Lane is up for rent. Have used it for years and never been disappointed. Anyone local know of a replacement they would recommend?

Thank you but I thought it was just me four stop I still see Michael out in the street and I have told him twice how much we miss him.

Completely agree. We were regular customers when Michael was running it. We have tried a couple of times since but certainly not the same quality. Can anyone recommend a similar Chinese takeaway that delivers to TW8. Really miss Michael he really cared about his customers.

Cathay Chef have been there for decades, certain;y well over years and I don't recall them being elsewhere first. The Tsang family fouded it there as a Chinese takeaway/'chippy' before converting to solely a Cantonese take away well over 20 years ago. Michael took over the business from his dad when he had to retire through ill health. Michael himself sold the business to his chef around 18 months ago.Sadly the quality is notwhat it was when Michael was driving the business and the prices have risen significantly. Not my take away of choice after over thirty years.

I can highly recommend Cathay Chef on Boston Manor Road, they used to be on South Ealing Road and I followed them as no other Chinese takeaway comes close. Have been using them for 20 or so years now, reasonable prices and they deliver.

Golden Dragon only has a one star food hygiene rating from earlier this year.  That would put me off  eating there … eughhh

All of my family like China Kitchen, a long-standing takeaway at 321 Greenford Ave, W7 1JH, 020 8575 6868 and I would certainly recommend them.  No delivery though.

I have heard 2 rumours, first being a hygiene issue.The second the landlord has significantly increased rent.There is now a to let sign in window 🤷‍♀️

If I'm not driving then shots of Baijiu are the order of the day. Not too many though at 55% ABV.

I had a takeaway from the Golden Dragon about two weeks ago. According to my son it's only going to ba closed a short while so let's keep our fingers crossed for a prompt reopening.

I have now given up on the Chinese takeaways in Ealing as the quality is so variable and the prices astronomical.  I know drive to Great Missenden to a lovely, award winning, Chinese restaurant where I can sit and be served a superbly cooked meal for around two thirds of the price of an overpriced Ealing takeaway
